Protection and Control Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform or support relay settings, coordination studies, fault analysis, and power-system studies
• develop and maintain calculations, drawings, reports, relay settings files, and technical documentation
• design, configure, test, and troubleshoot protective relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, communications networks, and automation systems
• support or lead commissioning, startup, FAT, SAT, outage support, and field implementation
• apply relevant industry and utility standards
• support transmission, distribution, and substation protection systems
• analyze relay events and investigate system issues
• coordinate with project teams, operations, contractors, vendors, and clients
• and support or lead technical reviews, QA/QC, planning, and engineering deliverables. Engineer III may provide technical guidance and mentorship.
