What you'll do

• Dispense medications
• provide drug information and patient counseling
• verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, directions, and interactions
• assess allergy concerns and communicate with patients and prescribers
• process third-party billing and rejections
• maintain controlled-substance records and inventory
• oversee medication ordering, recalls, and removal of outdated or damaged drugs
• supervise and train pharmacy technicians
• support cost-effective prescribing and clinical processes
• maintain confidentiality and comply with pharmacy laws and HIPAA.
