The Ultrasound Technologist – Weekend Nights role is an onsite position in Charlotte, NC, at Atrium Health Harrisburg Free-Standing Emergency Department. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 PM–7 AM. Compensation is not specified. The department provides 24-hour radiology services, including ultrasound, to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, Harrisburg, and Concord communities. The technologist coordinates and performs ultrasound exams, supports patient care related to requested exams, and operates imaging equipment. Accurate exam performance and coordination with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians contribute to timely diagnostic care, including urgent and emergent imaging needs.

What you'll do

• Prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians
• perform exams according to departmental protocols and standards
• provide patient care related to the requested exam
• operate ultrasound and associated equipment
• verify exam requests and orders
• assist radiologists with invasive procedures
• evaluate technical exam quality
• report malfunctioning equipment
• enter and charge exams and supplies in the radiology computer system
• maintain a neat, orderly, and stocked work area
• follow departmental rules and regulations.
