Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant works onsite in San Diego, CA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Compensation is $31.25–$36.06 per hour. The role reports to the Accounting Manager at Associated Students, San Diego State University. The accountant maintains fixed-asset reporting and supports audits, reconciliations, compliance, and financial recordkeeping. The work helps ensure accurate reporting and adherence to organizational policies and CSU guidelines.

What you'll do

• Assist with annual financial and compliance audits and tax filings
• maintain fixed-asset reporting and quarterly roll-forward schedules
• review accounts payable batches for fixed-asset coding
• maintain lease reporting under ASC 842 and CSU guidelines
• support annual CSU self-assessments
• review bank entries and assist with reconciliations
• verify clearing-account reconciliations
• maintain internal-control documentation
• review account reconciliations
• complete annual census filings
• manage unclaimed property processes
• reconcile and report loans and payments.
