The Medical Coordinator Assistant (Medical Assistant) works onsite in Long Beach, CA; compensation is $24 per hour. Whole Person Care Clinic’s mission is to provide holistic, compassionate, and accessible care, including support for clients recovering from illness or injury while experiencing homelessness. Working under the Medical Coordinator and clinical team, this role supports client health monitoring, medication self-administration, follow-up care, and accurate electronic health record documentation. It contributes to coordinated, trauma-informed recuperative care by communicating client needs and collaborating with clinical, behavioral health, case management, and housing staff.

What you'll do

• Conduct daily well-being checks and support medical intake under clinical supervision
• coordinate medical and behavioral health appointments and follow-ups
• support medication self-administration and monitor care-plan adherence
• document interactions and medication logs in the EHR
• provide basic health education
• report changes in client condition
• participate in team huddles and interdisciplinary meetings
• support infection control and facility upkeep
• track program metrics as directed.
