The Campus Victim Advocate role is an onsite, full-time position in Akron, OH, paying $18 per hour. Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center provides trauma-informed advocacy and support to people and families affected by violence. The role exists to help survivors access resources, plan for safety, and make informed decisions after trauma. The advocate manages a caseload, provides crisis intervention and referrals, maintains confidential records, and collaborates with allied professionals and victim advocacy agencies.

What you'll do

• Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and education on crime victims’ rights
• manage an individual caseload
• conduct needs assessments and develop individualized goal plans
• provide emotional support and referrals
• use safety planning and trauma-informed practices
• document client contacts and maintain confidential records
• complete required training
• collaborate with allied professionals and advocacy agencies.
