What you'll do

• Set up, program, test, and adjust fabrication machines to shear, pierce, extrude, bend, and shape material
• process bus bar and steel
• read blueprints and install punches, dies, and fixtures
• load and secure stock
• inspect parts and verify specifications with measuring tools
• mark and stack parts
• document scrap and replacement needs
• coordinate material staging
• maintain clean, safe work areas
• assist with equipment repairs at Class A level
• operate powered material-handling equipment as needed.
