Project Design Lead

The Project Design Lead role is onsite in Erie, PA. Compensation is $90,000–$110,000 per year. The role supports Vogt Power’s Capital and Aftermarket project management and leadership teams during sales and construction. The lead designer develops and coordinates project design deliverables for heat recovery steam generators and related equipment. The work helps translate project requirements into coordinated models, drawings, and documentation that support project execution.

What you'll do

• Develop project control drawings and data using mechanical, thermal, and structural engineering datasheets
• review P&IDs, customer specifications, and contractual documents
• assign work to CAD personnel
• develop preliminary 3D HRSG models and prepare 3D models or CAD drawings
• instruct and guide CAD designers
• prepare material takeoffs or requisitions
• check project models and drawings
• review vendor documents and dimensional interfaces
• support project and product engineers on shop and field issues
• maintain project schedules and documentation
• travel to jobsites for short field assignments.
