Full-Time Youth and Teen Staff work onsite in Ticonderoga, NY, supporting the Teen Center and Silver Bay Summer Camp. Compensation is $17.25 per hour. The role supports youth programming for participants ages 13 to 18 at the Teen Center and campers at Silver Bay Summer Camp. The staff member helps deliver safe, engaging activities that foster young people’s physical, social, educational and intellectual growth. The role also supports supervision, program logistics, communication with families and staff, and YMCA character-development goals.

What you'll do

• At the Teen Center, lead and participate in physical, social and educational activities
• assist with Leaders Club meetings and service projects
• chaperone teens to regional rallies
• participate in emergency-procedure training
• and monitor participant sign-in, sign-out and whereabouts. At Silver Bay Summer Camp, help implement character-development programming and activities, maintain staff-to-camper ratios, assist with swimming activities as needed, keep program areas clean, communicate with staff and families, and report equipment repairs.

Why this role
