Job overview

The Aircraft Electrical System Technician role is based in Layton, UT, with 100% travel and frequent, extended-duration travel required. Compensation is $30–$38 per hour, plus travel pay based on USGSA per diem rates. The immediate assignment is on the T6 modification team, with other airframes and modifications possible as opportunities arise. The technician performs aircraft electrical modifications, installations, inspections, and functional checks in accordance with engineering guidance and technical orders. The work supports aircraft modification projects through compliant assemblies, accurate records, safe practices, and reporting of status and results.

What you'll do

  • Perform aircraft modifications, technical-order work, component and harness installation or removal, operational checkouts, and prototype or trial vehicle installations
  • follow engineering guidance, technical orders, and drawings
  • assemble and inspect wiring and harnesses
  • perform electrical and functional checks
  • document task compliance
  • maintain property inventory
  • assist and train other technicians
  • observe safety rules
  • and report status and results.
