Registered Nurse Consultant, Assisted Living and Memory Care

Job overview

The Registered Nurse Consultant, Assisted Living and Memory Care role combines onsite community visits and remote work in support of VitaCare Living communities in Menomonie, WI. Pay is $45 per hour, with a part-time schedule of approximately 12 hours per week minimum. VitaCare Living provides assisted living and memory care focused on residents’ dignity, purpose, and individualized care. The consultant provides clinical oversight, regulatory support, staff education, and quality improvement. Through resident assessments, medication reviews, audits, coaching, and survey preparation, the RN helps community teams translate clinical and regulatory standards into safe everyday care.

What you'll do

• Complete resident assessments and update Individual Service Plans
• review psychotropic medications
• assess wounds and skin conditions
• follow up on changes in condition and new medical orders
• conduct medication cart audits and MAR reviews
• reconcile medications with physician orders
• delegate medication administration to qualified staff and verify competency
• audit resident records, training files, incident reports, and emergency preparedness documentation
• support survey preparation and plans of correction
• educate staff and coach community leaders
• provide written findings and recommendations
• help implement sustainable clinical improvements.
