Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in the West Hartford, CT area. Pay is $22.25 per hour, with weekly pay. Athena Home Health & Hospice provides hospice care to patients in the area. The aide provides personal care to promote patient comfort, observes and documents care, and reports patient-condition changes to the Case Manager. Duties include assisting with hygiene, meals, mobility, exercise, and other care assigned by the hospice team.

What you'll do

• Provide assigned personal care
• communicate respectfully with patients and families
• use equipment safely
• assist with bathing, dressing, meals, feeding, mobility, exercise, transfers, and positioning
• record vital signs when ordered and competency is demonstrated
• observe and report changes to the Case Manager
• document care.
