Direct Support Professional, Community Day Program

The Direct Support Professional, Community Day Program role is onsite in Morganton, NC, with a Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. Pay is $16–$20 per hour, depending on the service provided. The role supports Skill Creations' day program and community services for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and other support needs. The DSP provides individualized care and support according to each person's needs and care plan. The work helps people participate in community life and build communication, recreation, and independent-living skills, with personal care, behavioral support, medication assistance, or job coaching as applicable to the individual.

What you'll do

• Provide group care in the day program or community according to individual needs and care plans
• may assist with incidental personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching, and independent living skills
• provide educational opportunities in communication and recreation or leisure
• meet individual client-specific needs
• document data using basic computer skills.
