Scientist – R&D Imaging and Image Analysis

The Scientist – R&D Imaging and Image Analysis role is onsite in South San Francisco, CA. Pay is $35–$37 per hour. The scientist joins an R&D imaging and image analysis team supporting research programs across therapeutic and functional areas. The role maintains cell cultures, develops and executes image-based cellular assays, and performs microscopy and quantitative image analysis. It supports collaborative research by producing, interpreting, and documenting imaging data and maintaining reproducible workflows and instrumentation.

What you'll do

• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare samples
• develop, optimize, and execute image-based cellular assays, including co-culture and cell-cell interaction assays
• perform fluorescence microscopy and automated imaging
• support studies from experimental design through image acquisition and analysis
• develop quantitative image analysis workflows
• analyze, interpret, document, and communicate results
• contribute to research on immune synapses and cell-cell contacts relevant to T-cell engager research
• assist with routine maintenance of high-content imaging systems
• troubleshoot assay and imaging issues
• help maintain protocols and workflows
• support and, with experience, help train scientists.
