The Cloud Engineer role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. The estimated salary range is $160,000–$190,000 per year. CTC Group provides engineering, technical, operational support, and training services to federal government and mission operations customers, including the Intelligence and Defense communities. The role designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure for complex software systems and mission-critical applications. It supports application migration, systems integration, and reliable, highly available cloud services through architecture development, infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

What you'll do

• Analyze system requirements and architectures to develop cloud infrastructure specifications
• design cloud architectures for migrations, microservices, and containers
• configure and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation, preferably in AWS
• develop interface specifications
• support ActiveMQ and Kafka integration
• plan high-availability deployments
• troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis
• manage configuration baselines and technical risks
• maintain architecture and integration documentation and after-action reports.
