CNC / Manual Machining Specialist — Second Shift

The CNC / Manual Machining Specialist — Second Shift role is onsite in Saint Joseph, MI. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour. LECO Corporation designs and manufactures laboratory instruments, and this role supports production quality at its St. Joseph operation. The specialist sets up and operates machining equipment, inspects produced parts, and responds to quality issues under the LECO Quality Management Plan. The work helps prevent nonconformities and ensures affected products are controlled until corrective actions are verified.

What you'll do

• Respond to out-of-control conditions under the LECO Quality Management Plan
• prevent product nonconformities
• initiate, recommend, and route solutions
• identify and document quality issues
• verify corrective actions
• hold and control nonconforming product until corrected
• inspect produced parts and complete associated data entry
• perform applicable material handling, sawing, assembly, deburring, tube forming, machine setup and operation, CNC programming or editing, and machine maintenance.

Why this role

Second shift schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 3:15 p.m.–3:45 a.m.; Thursday, 3:15–7:15 p.m. Overtime may be scheduled as needed. Includes a 15% second-shift premium and a retention bonus for second-shift new hires. Journeyman’s Certificate or 5+ years of experience preferred.
