The Lift Operator — Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 role is onsite in Chesterland, OH. Starting pay is $20 per hour. Vail Resorts’ Lift Experience Team aims to provide guests and employees with a seamless experience from the maze entrance through lift unloading. The operator supports safe, friendly, and efficient guest travel by monitoring passengers, operating the lift, and assisting with loading and unloading. The role also includes preparing the lift and maze for operation, reporting maintenance needs, following emergency procedures, and supporting ticket scanning through additional training.

What you'll do

• Monitor passenger safety
• instruct guests in safe loading and unloading
• manage lift speed as needed
• operate the lift to meet chair-capacity guidelines
• notify maintenance or dispatch of repair needs
• implement emergency procedures as required
• prepare the lift and set up or disassemble the maze
• maintain a safe and clean work area
• train to support ticket scanning.
