Job overview

The Senior Analyst, Power Markets — Long-Term Forecasting (Modelling) role may be based at any North American office or remotely. Compensation is not specified. The role reports to the leader of Power Market Fundamentals & Long-Term Forecasting within Enverus’ Power & Renewables Intelligence group. The analyst owns the production cost model and quarterly forecasting cycle that produces hourly hub and zonal power prices across North American ISOs. By integrating research assumptions, validating model results, running scenarios, and explaining price movements, the role helps the team produce timely, decision-useful power market research.

What you'll do

  • Own model runs, inputs, calibration, and documentation
  • integrate load forecasts, capacity mix and build plans, retirements, and fuel assumptions
  • run the full ISO forecast cycle and deliver hub and zonal price files on schedule
  • run ad hoc scenarios for research, product, and commercial teams
  • build validation checks and diagnose model or assumption issues
  • explain mechanical drivers of price changes
  • backcast forecasts against market outcomes
  • document the model and runbook
  • work with regional analysts to shape assumptions and co-author research. The posting describes this as a non-client-facing role.
