Job overview

The Chef role is onsite at the Janssen location in Gurabo, PR. Pay is $16 per hour. The position supports Eurest foodservice operations at the Janssen site. The Chef directs kitchen and food-production activities while preparing and serving meals to established quality, safety, and service standards. The role also coordinates kitchen associates, inventory, and daily service so meals are delivered consistently and residents or customers receive a positive dining experience.

What you'll do

• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in food preparation and service
• ensure food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards
• supervise hourly kitchen associates, including scheduling, training, and payroll-related tasks
• prepare food according to standardized recipes
• maintain presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures
• track food use and waste
• receive and inspect supplies
• maintain clean equipment and work areas
• help select and develop recipes and menus.
