The Senior Payroll Specialist role is hybrid in Tacoma, WA, with three days each week at the Tacoma office. Pay is $45.50–$50.50 per hour. This role provides payroll operations and backup coverage to maintain continuity across U.S. and Canadian payroll functions. It processes staff payroll and personnel changes, audits payroll data, resolves discrepancies, supports timekeeping and special projects, and safeguards confidential payroll information.

What you'll do

• Process weekly U.S. exempt and non-exempt staff payroll
• provide U.S. and Canada coverage during absences and start-ups
• process hires, status changes, terminations, and checks
• audit payroll data
• maintain personnel files
• support garnishments, timekeeping administration, and training
• prepare payroll reports and review liabilities
• resolve discrepancies and respond to payroll questions
• support system implementations and other departmental projects.

Why this role
