What you'll do

• Supervise the nursing unit, including scheduling and directing staff
• coordinate personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities
• obtain medications and records
• contact physicians and ensure timely interventions
• review staffing and census and reassign personnel as needed
• investigate complaints
• oversee resident care during the shift
• explain procedures and care plans
• transcribe physician orders
• document care and progress
• conduct rounds and monitor vital signs
• respond to emergencies
• support care plans and conferences
• report and investigate alleged abuse.
