What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment
• position patients and adjust the linear accelerator according to the treatment plan developed with the radiation oncologist
• explain procedures
• deliver prescribed radiation therapy and monitor patients for adverse effects
• document treatment doses, areas, and patient reactions
• perform daily linear accelerator warm-up procedures and check beam consistency and alignment
• follow radiation safety protocols.
