Bus Driver

Job overview

The Bus Driver role is onsite in Hamtramck, MI, with compensation of $25–$27 per hour. The driver transports students to and from school sites and events while supporting passenger safety, including for students with special education needs.

What you'll do

• Drive students to and from homes, school sites, and assigned field trips
• oversee loading and unloading and release students to authorized individuals
• maintain passenger order and discipline
• inspect and keep the bus safe and clean
• report repairs
• maintain mileage, routing, maintenance, and schedule records
• communicate delays
• assist with other routes when assigned
• may operate a ramp bus and secure wheelchair passengers.
