Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, paying $18–$24 per hour. Family House provides a home away from home for patients and families traveling to Pittsburgh for medical care. The role exists to maintain Family House buildings, equipment, and grounds so the facilities remain safe and operational for guests. The technician performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance, documents work, supports the maintenance team, and assists with facility events and grounds upkeep.

What you'll do

• Perform routine building and equipment maintenance and repairs, including basic carpentry, flooring, minor plumbing and electrical work, and filter and vacuum-unit cleaning
• maintain a maintenance log and document activities and preventive plans in TELS
• move supplies
• keep work areas orderly
• assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and special-event setup and teardown. Must be available evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call every other weekend.
