The Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) — First Shift role is onsite in Baldwinville, MA, with a Wednesday–Sunday schedule from 7 AM to 3 PM. Compensation is $19–$20 per hour. The role supports Banyan Treatment Centers’ inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and substance use treatment programs. This position provides direct supervision and day-to-day support to promote patient safety, engagement, and a structured recovery-focused environment. The specialist observes and communicates patient needs to the treatment team and assists with program routines and facility operations.

What you'll do

• Provide continuous patient supervision and scheduled safety checks
• observe and document behavior and environmental conditions
• report concerns to clinical or medical staff
• use approved de-escalation techniques and emergency protocols
• measure vital signs and perform approved testing as assigned
• support permitted medication self-administration
• assist with admissions, discharges, patient movement, group coordination, and activities
• communicate with the treatment team
• assist with transportation when assigned
• maintain facility cleanliness and safety.
