Early Childhood Lead Teacher

The Early Childhood Lead Teacher role is onsite in Breckenridge, CO, with compensation of $28–$33 per hour. Timberline Learning Center serves children from six weeks to six years and describes its mission as cultivating the wonder of learning through meaningful partnerships. The teacher leads a classroom team in an emergent, play-based curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia. The role supports children’s curiosity and development through intentional learning experiences, assessment and documentation, family partnerships, and mentoring classroom colleagues.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming classroom responsive to children’s developmental needs and interests
• collaborate with the co-teacher on learning experiences
• facilitate project work and child-led investigations
• use developmentally appropriate guidance
• conduct quarterly Teaching Strategies GOLD assessments and communicate progress
• build family partnerships
• mentor the co-teacher and support staff.
