Environmental Specialist, On-Call Emergency Response

The Environmental Specialist role is onsite in Flanders, NJ. Pay is $23–$25 per hour. The position includes on-call emergency response, including nights and weekends. Veolia provides water, waste, and energy management services, including hazardous-waste and pollution treatment. The specialist supports client remediation and disposal work by handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials, responding to spills, and completing sampling and transport-related tasks in compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Sample waste streams

• clean up spills and perform remedial activities
• load and unload materials
• coordinate transportation
• respond to client inquiries
• follow and enforce compliance, health, and safety procedures
• complete paperwork required for hazardous-waste disposal
• perform confined-space entry.
