Lead Math Tutor

The Lead Math Tutor role is an onsite, part-time position in Redwood City, CA, paying $19–$22 per hour for approximately 10–20 hours per week. Think Zone Learning Center provides in-person K–8 math enrichment to strengthen students’ academic foundations, confidence, and critical thinking. The role combines tutoring with support for fellow tutors and daily center activities. It helps students progress in math while supporting consistent instructional quality and offering an opportunity to develop teaching and operational skills for a potential future in education management.

What you'll do

• Tutor K–8 students and adapt instruction to learning styles and academic needs
• monitor student progress and coordinate with center staff on learning challenges
• share teaching strategies and materials with fellow tutors
• provide guidance and constructive feedback when needed
• help new tutors learn teaching methods and expectations
• support daily tutoring activities, classroom coordination, and communication of student progress and instructional needs.
