Mental Health Counselor — Residential Youth Care

Job overview

The Mental Health Counselor role is onsite in Boulder, CO, with a required commute to Longmont; pay is $23.00–$25.75 per hour. Shiloh House provides youth behavioral health and trauma-informed care for at-risk youth ages 7–18. The counselor maintains safety, structure, and consistency in a residential setting while helping youth navigate behavioral and emotional challenges. The role works with clinicians and educators to carry out treatment and behavior plans and support youth’s progress.

What you'll do

• Provide direct supervision and structure for youth
• implement treatment and behavior plans with clinicians and educators
• maintain consistent boundaries
• use verbal de-escalation
• conduct safety and monitoring checks, including 15-minute bed checks
• transport youth to school, appointments, and activities
• support meal preparation and light upkeep
• document activities and participate in team meetings and training.
