What you'll do

• Receive and unpack specimens and check labels for accuracy
• prepare specimens for testing through centrifugation, separation, and aliquot labeling
• preserve specimens for storage, analysis, pickup, or mailing
• deliver prepared specimens to testing locations
• enter data in the laboratory information system
• follow specimen-handling procedures, identify specimens accurately, use personal protective equipment, and route urgent specimens appropriately.
