Compensation is $7,000–$20,000 per year. The Information Systems Security Engineer I role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. Columbia Technology Partners supports government customers with technology and management consulting focused on sensitive technology and cybersecurity challenges. The engineer designs, implements, and assesses secure systems and networks, helping protect data and systems from unauthorized activity while supporting security planning, risk management, and compliance throughout the system lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for secure data exchange and enterprise protection
• conduct system security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and risk evaluations
• support cybersecurity across network, server, desktop, and application environments
• recommend system-level security solutions
• support security planning, risk management, and compliance
• design secure architectures across multiple enclaves and classification levels
• maintain trusted relationships between interconnected systems
• provide systems administration support as required.

Why this role

Requires at least seven years of ISSE experience, an active CASP+, Security+, or CISSP certification, and an active security clearance with appropriate polygraph. U.S. citizenship is required; bachelor’s degree or four additional years of ISSE experience is specified. Shift work, including occasional weekend support, may be required.
