The position leads patient-safety activities, coordinates teams working to reduce healthcare errors and unintended adverse outcomes, and promotes a culture of safety. It also supports accreditation surveys and investigations, facilitates the good catch committee, and collaborates with clinical leaders and medical staff on reliable care practices and patient-harm reduction.

What you'll do

• Oversee patient-safety activities across Petaluma Valley Hospital and Healdsburg Hospital
• facilitate process-improvement teams
• coordinate high-reliability activities
• educate staff on system-based causes of critical, sentinel, or high-harm events
• consult with management and staff on patient-safety strategies
• support accreditation surveys and investigations
• facilitate the good catch committee
• collaborate with clinical leaders and medical staff to improve safety and reduce patient harm.
