The Buyer role is onsite at Stabilus’s U.S. corporate headquarters in Gastonia, NC. Compensation is not specified. Stabilus manufactures gas springs, dampers, and electromechanical drives. The Buyer supports production by developing a reliable, quality-conscious, price-competitive supply base for metal and other materials. The role evaluates supplier performance, compares quotes, coordinates with internal teams and international counterparts, and supports new-part introduction and supply continuity.

What you'll do

• Locate and develop suppliers
• maintain supplier capability and contact information
• support supplier visit, audit, and performance-improvement plans
• compare quotes and conduct industry benchmarking
• set up and track project plans
• support Quality and Engineering with new parts and quality issues
• support Logistics with part-number phase-in and phase-out
• track and report industry and commodity indexes.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management required. Purchasing experience in manufacturing and metals or raw materials is preferred. International travel up to 25% may be required; Spanish and English fluency is preferred.
