The Corporate Associate, Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) role is hybrid, with approximately three days per week in the office in Boston, MA or New York, NY. Compensation is $235,000–$365,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus. The associate joins a nationally recognized ECVC practice advising startups, founders, venture-backed companies, funds, and investors. The role provides transactional and day-to-day corporate counsel across the business lifecycle, from formation and early financing through growth and exit. Managing financings, governance matters, and client relationships helps clients make informed business decisions while supporting the practice’s work and development of junior attorneys.

What you'll do

• Represent emerging growth companies, founders, venture capital funds, and institutional investors
• draft, review, and negotiate financing and governance documents
• advise on formation, governance, capitalization, equity compensation, and corporate matters
• manage financing transactions from term sheet through closing
• mentor junior associates
• collaborate across legal practice areas
• build client relationships and provide practical business-focused counsel.
