What you'll do

• Apply ionizing radiation to treatment areas according to the radiation oncologist’s prescription and physicist instructions
• operate radiation-producing equipment and follow radiation safety procedures
• perform patient setups and simulations
• document in the electronic medical record
• educate patients and families about expected side effects and treatment aids
• report adverse reactions
• participate in quality control and daily warm-up procedures. The posting also includes participation in an on-call rotation and student clinical instruction.
