Direct Support Professional – Residential

The Direct Support Professional – Residential role is onsite in Ronkonkoma, NY. Pay is $21–$23 per hour. In a residential setting, the professional provides practical and emotional support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps people supported work toward personal goals and greater self-sufficiency through daily assistance, documentation, and transportation to appointments and activities.

What you'll do

• Help people supported achieve personal goals
• provide structure and emotional support
• assist with behavioral issues and personal hygiene
• complete detailed documentation
• transport participants to medical appointments and recreation activities in agency vehicles
• cooking and light housekeeping may be required
• obtain and maintain AMAP and SCIP certifications.
