Quality Assurance & Inventory Control Specialist

The Quality Assurance & Inventory Control Specialist role is onsite at the CARO / Raleigh Market Warehouse in Raleigh, NC. Compensation is not specified. The position reports to the Production & Repack Manager and works with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Operations. The role helps ensure inbound produce meets USDA quality standards while keeping inventory and packaging records accurate. Through inspections, documentation, and coordination with production teams, the specialist supports food safety, product quality, and operational readiness.

What you'll do

• Inspect inbound produce for compliance with USDA guidelines
• identify and document defects, deterioration, temperature deviations, and other concerns
• maintain accurate inventory levels for produce, packaging materials, and supplies
• identify and resolve potential inventory issues
• communicate quality and inventory concerns to Procurement, Production, Sales, and Operations
• coordinate with Production to ensure product and packaging inventory supports production schedules
• support company food safety, worker safety, quality assurance, and operating procedures.
