The Food Service Assistant — Full-Time, Day Shift — Hultquist Place role is onsite in Jamestown, NY. The listed pay range is $16.00–$18.55 per hour. The position works 37.5 hours per week at Hultquist Place Assisted Living, supporting residents’ dining experience. The assistant serves meals, prepares and resets dining areas, cleans and sanitizes kitchen and dining spaces, and operates dishwashing equipment. The role follows dietary and safety procedures and works with the team to keep daily meal service running smoothly; the primary shift is 6:30 AM–2:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays. Optional evening shifts may occasionally be available.

What you'll do

• Follow assigned task schedules
• serve meals with attention to portions and presentation
• respond respectfully to resident requests
• set up and break down dining areas
• clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and dish room areas
• operate dishwashing equipment and wash dishes, pots, and pans
• follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
• collaborate with team members
• follow Sagewell and Dietary Department policies and procedures
• perform related duties assigned by the Director of Dietary.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required, and on-the-job training is provided. Optional evening shifts from 4:00 PM–8:00 PM may occasionally be available.
