The Lead Medical Assistant role is onsite in Sonora, CA, with compensation of $27.71–$31.53 per hour. MACT Health Board’s mission is to improve the health status of American Indian and Alaska Native populations through a range of health services. The role provides leadership and training for medical assistants while supporting providers and patient care throughout clinic visits. It helps coordinate clinical workflows, maintain procedures, and support a consistent patient and staff experience.

What you'll do

• Train and support the Medical Assistant team
• lead employee huddles
• ensure staff follow procedures and protocols
• liaise between back office and other departments
• participate in performance evaluations and coaching
• support patients during visits
• prepare for appointments
• take vital signs
• assist providers with exams and procedures
• perform lab tests, screenings, and phlebotomy consistent with training and clinic policies
• maintain supplies and equipment
• complete related records and authorizations.
