Woodworking Machine Operator

What you'll do

• Set up and operate shapers, veneer panel sanders, edge banders, solid-wood processing equipment, and other woodworking machinery
• use handheld tools to cut, shape, sand, and prepare components
• set controls, tooling, guides, and materials
• read drawings, work orders, and specifications
• measure and inspect materials and finished components
• operate a CNC router when assigned and trained
• perform routine checks, cleaning, and operator-level maintenance
• organize materials and work areas
• follow machine-safety procedures and use required PPE
• coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to meet production schedules.
