School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist role is based in La Plata, Maryland, serving Charles County Public Schools; the district is open to a hybrid arrangement. Pay is $55–$60 per hour. Strides Therapy and Educational Services provides contracted therapy services to support students’ educational experiences and communication development. The SLP assesses students’ communication needs, develops and delivers individualized interventions, monitors progress, and collaborates with educators and families to support classroom participation and educational goals.

What you'll do

• Conduct speech and language assessments

• provide evidence-based interventions for communication, articulation, fluency, and language
• collaborate with educators, parents, and school teams
• monitor and document progress
• guide families and staff
• maintain records
• participate in IEP and team meetings
• comply with applicable regulations and ethical standards.
