People Operations Manager

Job overview

The role supports Wolfe’s Neck Center’s Operations team and its work advancing regenerative agriculture, research, and food-system change. As the organization’s primary human resources practitioner, the manager owns the employee lifecycle and provides HR, administrative, and technology support. The role helps maintain an inclusive, productive workplace and supports compliance for employees across multiple states.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary HR contact
• interpret and apply policy and employment law
• lead onboarding and orientation
• manage full-cycle recruitment
• manage workers’ compensation claims and leaves
• support insurance reviews and benefit compliance
• partner with managers on workforce planning, retention, performance, and engagement
• support health and safety compliance
• manage employee relations and policy updates
• provide administrative and basic IT support
• coordinate with the external IT provider and manage software subscriptions.
