Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician role is onsite in Boulder, CO. Compensation is $75,000–$100,000 annually, with an annual bonus and company equity also offered. Atom Computing develops quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms to advance quantum technologies and computing performance. The technician maintains the organization’s physical workspace and supports shipping and receiving so facilities remain functional, safe, and well maintained and materials are handled accurately and on time. The role combines building maintenance, safety support, and logistics coordination for the organization’s daily operations.

What you'll do

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
• troubleshoot and complete repairs
• inspect facilities for hazards and maintenance needs
• assist with contractor scheduling and oversight
• support office moves, equipment installations, and workspace changes
• maintain tools and maintenance areas
• follow safety procedures and support OSHA and fire-code compliance
• participate in emergency preparedness activities
• receive, inspect, log, label, and distribute incoming shipments
• prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate carrier pickups
• maintain organized loading dock and storage areas
• resolve delivery discrepancies with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
