Medical Assistant, Full Time

Job overview

The Medical Assistant, Full Time role is onsite in Ann Arbor, MI. Compensation is $15–$20 per hour. The role supports providers and patients across KARE CENTER’s urgent care and primary care services. The assistant helps deliver patient-centered care by preparing patients and exam rooms, supporting providers during examinations and procedures, performing directed testing and specimen collection, and coordinating appointments and follow-up. The role also maintains clinical documentation and provides patient instructions under provider supervision.

What you'll do

• Greet and room patients
• obtain vital signs and document complaints and medical histories in the EHR
• assist providers during examinations and procedures
• perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct point-of-care testing as directed
• administer injections and immunizations per provider orders and scope of practice
• prepare and stock exam rooms
• schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and follow-ups
• provide patient education under provider supervision
• maintain clinical documentation.
