Automotive Quality Technician

The Automotive Quality Technician role is onsite in Fountain Inn, SC, with pay of $19–$21 per hour. The posting lists two available schedules: A Shift, 6:45 a.m.–5:30 p.m., six days per week; or B Shift, 6:45 p.m.–5:30 a.m., six days per week. The role supports quality activities for automotive production and customer requirements. The technician checks materials and products against specifications, documents supplier issues, and works with quality and production colleagues to address nonconformance. The role also contributes to audits, containment, and continuous-improvement efforts aimed at reducing poor-quality costs.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials with the Quality Engineer
• complete scheduled process and product audits
• measure components using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• report daily activities
• deliver replacement parts to customer plants and perform incoming inspection as required
• record supplier issues and initiate returns as needed
• conduct testing, containment, and sorting
• communicate quality information across production and support teams
• participate in continuous-improvement activities.
