The Test Engineer, Army Software Systems role is onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, with compensation of $125,000–$155,000 per year. QED Systems supports Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics and mission-critical Army systems. The engineer plans and conducts software testing to verify requirements and quality, identify defects, and inform release decisions. The role coordinates with engineering, program management, stakeholders, and vendors, and contributes to manual and automated testing across the acquisition lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• develop test strategies, plans, procedures, schedules, and documentation
• support developmental and operational test events
• coordinate cyber survivability testing
• document results, analyze findings, track defects, and prepare reports and briefings
• develop test cases, scripts, and traceability matrices
• support automated testing, test environment setup, data preparation, and configuration management
• assist with performance and basic security testing
• collaborate with developers
• ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense testing and acquisition requirements.
