The Journeyman Tool and Die Maker – First Shift role is onsite in Wayne, MI. The stated hourly wage for journeyman cardholders is $36.84. The role reports to the Tool & Die Manager and supports tool, die, and fixture production and maintenance. The maker builds and maintains tools, dies, and fixtures, troubleshoots and repairs machine assemblies, and verifies work against specifications. The position contributes to daily safety, delivery, quality, and cost goals while supporting 5S initiatives.

What you'll do

• Make and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures
• diagnose and troubleshoot machine assemblies
• repair tools and manually operated and progressive dies
• test tools and dies for specification compliance and adjust work as needed
• select metals and materials
• set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools
• complete paperwork and transactions
• follow safety rules and support 5S initiatives.

Why this role

Journeyman cardholder status and 3–5 years of tool and die-making experience are required. CAD and CNC software experience is preferred. Overtime and weekend scheduling may be required.
