Community Relations Specialist

The Community Relations Specialist role is onsite in El Centro, CA, and requires living within 30 miles of El Centro. Compensation is $70,000–$80,000 per year. Vero Fiber works to bring affordable, reliable broadband to underserved communities and support local connectivity, including for schools and rural healthcare. The role builds trust and engagement in active and prospective fiber markets, serving as a liaison between Vero and local communities. It coordinates outreach, communicates construction updates, tracks concerns, and works across teams to resolve issues as Vero expands its fiber-to-the-home business.

What you'll do

• Manage community communications and relationships in active and prospective markets
• plan and lead town halls, civic meetings, open houses, and community events
• coordinate with construction, engineering, and operations
• develop in-person, digital, and social media communications
• monitor sentiment and escalate concerns
• manage the community hotline and inbox and address or escalate inquiries within established service levels
• coordinate construction-related concern resolution
• maintain online community presence
• build relationships with local leaders
• help standardize engagement materials
• report outreach, sentiment, and issue-resolution metrics to executives
• travel within assigned markets and occasionally to other Vero regions.
