Apprentice Compliance Fuel Technician

Job overview

The Apprentice Compliance Fuel Technician role is onsite in Woonsocket, RI, paying $18–$20 per hour, with an average of 12–15 overtime hours per week paid at time and a half. Travel is expected 2–3 weeks per month, with weekends at home; hotels and a per diem are provided. OWL Services provides compliance, testing, maintenance, and related services to fueling and other industries. The apprentice supports fuel-system integrity testing at retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities. The work helps identify leaks and prevent failures by preparing sites, setting up testing and safety equipment, conducting tests, and accurately sharing results and correction procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare sites for testing
• set up testing and safety equipment
• remove manhole lids for underground storage tank access
• drive a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle
• perform fuel containment, equipment integrity, and leak-detection tests
• share test results and correction procedures with company partners and customers.
