Perioperative Services Technician

The Perioperative Services Technician works onsite in Jacksonville Beach, FL, on a full-time Monday–Friday schedule with hours varying according to center needs. The role supports Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, a physician-led outpatient surgery center with three operating rooms. The technician supports safe, efficient patient care through sterile processing and operating-room assistance, preparing instruments, supplies, and rooms and helping surgical teams maintain case flow.

What you'll do

• Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of instruments and supplies
• prepare surgical trays
• document sterilization and quality checks
• manage sterile supply inventory
• turn over operating rooms
• gather instruments, supplies, implants, and equipment for cases
• open sterile supplies and prepare the sterile field
• assist with patient positioning under the surgical team’s direction
• transport equipment
• follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
